Most of Woodstock’s named neighborhoods sit on the Towne Lake side, which makes it one of the easier places to plan a week around. The houses are close together, the streets loop, and when a crew is already working inside Towne Lake Hills, the next house is not a drive across the county.
Downtown is the other half of it. The older streets off Main Street are a different roofline problem entirely, and a good deal more interesting: porches, steep little gables, and trim that was never built with a ladder in mind.
I-575 runs up the middle of town. Towne Lake fills the land west of it off Towne Lake Parkway, toward the Little River and Olde Rope Mill Park. Downtown is the other way, on Main Street along the tracks, and Highway 92 cuts across the south end toward Acworth. Say east or west of 575 in your booking; it puts the measuring visit on the right exit from the start.
