Cobb County, Georgia

Christmas lights in Powder Springs, downtown or out toward Lost Mountain.

Powder Springs belongs to Cobb, and we take on Cobb whole, so a house by Thurman Springs Park and one up off Dallas Highway are both in, as long as they sit on the Cobb side. Here is what the rate means for yours.

Service area

Powder Springs neighborhoods we cover.

Powder Springs got its name from its water. It was incorporated as Springville in 1838 and renamed in 1859, after springs whose minerals turn the sand black, like gunpowder. Downtown is still compact: the storefronts along Marietta Street, and Thurman Springs Park, a short connector path from the Silver Comet Trail.

The city itself covers only about seven square miles, but a Powder Springs address reaches much farther. US 278, the C. H. James Parkway, passes west of downtown on its way between Austell and Dallas. Macland Road and Powder Springs Road carry traffic northeast toward Marietta, and Lost Mountain Road runs up from Macland to Dallas Highway, where Lost Mountain Park sits under a Powder Springs address of its own.

That spread shows up in the houses. Caley’s Mill and Mill Chase date from the 1980s and 1990s, while Moore Farm and Pickens Place went up around 2020. A house in Linden Grove off Gaydon Road and one near Lost Mountain Lakes share a ZIP code and not much of the drive, so write the nearest of those roads next to your neighborhood when you book.

The price

The same rate per foot across Powder Springs.

A single-story home in Bel Aire and a two-story in Ashbury Commons pay one rate per linear foot of roofline. What separates the two bills is footage, and footage is counted at the house, never read off a listing.

Size up your own roofline

A starting guess at your footage, not a measurement.

January takedown on the same invoice.

The work

What we can show you.

Real installs by Carter's crews, shot at night. None is labelled with a town.

Questions

Asked in Powder Springs.

Our mailing address says Powder Springs, but we are miles from downtown. Are we included?
Yes, as long as the house is in Cobb County. City limits do not decide it; the county does, and Cobb is in our service area end to end. Outside Cobb and Cherokee we run from Chattanooga down to McDonough, and anything that far out is quoted case by case.
We live in one of the 55+ communities, all one story. How does a ranch get priced?
The same way as everything else: by the foot. A one-story house can still have a long front once the garage and porch are counted, so it is priced by its footage like any other house. That gets settled by measuring, not by the floor plan. How the price works
Is taking the lights down billed separately in January?
No. The January takedown goes on the same invoice as the install.
