Cobb County, Georgia
Christmas lights in Marietta, measured to your roofline.
Marietta is Cobb County, and Cobb is covered end to end. Below: its neighborhoods, and how the price works.
Service area
Marietta neighborhoods we cover.
Marietta is not one kind of house. A ranch near Powers Park, a two-story with dormers up in Indian Hills and an old house on Church Street are three different jobs, and they come to three very different lengths of roofline. None of them is the number you would guess standing in the driveway.
That is the whole reason nobody quotes you before somebody measures you. The older streets around the Square are where it shows most: porches, trim, and rooflines that step down twice before they reach the gutter. Out toward East Cobb the houses get bigger and the fronts get longer, and the same rule holds.
Marietta is the Cobb County seat, built around the Square. Roswell Street leaves it heading east toward East Cobb, Whitlock Avenue heads west toward Kennesaw Mountain, and Powder Springs Street runs out to the southwest. I-75 runs down the city’s east side. A cross street typed into the booking form, next to the neighborhood, tells the person measuring whether you are east or west of I-75 and how to come in from the Square.

The price
The same rate per foot across Marietta.
It is the same rate per foot in Indian Hills as it is off Whitlock. What changes from house to house is how many feet of roofline you choose to light, and that comes off a tape, not a category. Nobody prices a Marietta house by its neighborhood or its square footage.
A starting guess at your footage, not a measurement.
January takedown on the same invoice.
The work
What we can show you.
Real installs by Carter's crews, shot at night. None is labelled with a town.
Questions
Asked in Marietta.
- Do you actually cover Marietta?
- Yes. All of Cobb is covered, Marietta with it. If you are in East Cobb with a Marietta address, that counts too.
- We are in East Cobb and half the street wants it done. Does that help?
- It does, and it is worth doing on purpose. Book separately and mention each other: neighbors who book together end up on a route together.
- Ours is one of the older houses near the Square. Is it harder to price?
- Not harder: it is still the same rate per foot. Older Marietta houses tend to have more separate rooflines, porches and trim than a newer build of the same size, so the number is harder to guess from the street, and that is the reason it gets a tape measure.
